Applied research for business development

Between March and June 2017, LAMA realized a research on existing ICT smart solutions for the reduction of negative effects stemming from strenuous work over workers’ health and wellbeing, in order to improve working conditions and competitiveness.

The aim of the research was to stimulate evidence-based analysis and interventions on three main issues: how to manage ageing effects and hard working conditions (social problem); how to effectively combine automation processes with increased human productivity (production problem); how to manage the reduction of specific jobs vis-à-vis increased automation (model problem).

The research team particularly focused on the analysis of emerging technologies, and their different uses, in light of better health, jobs and working conditions, and increased competitiveness.
